Good in parts

You are very welcome to come along and sing with us for a taster session. There is no charge for this. There are no auditions to join.

Singers are encouraged to move around to find a part which suits them best. If the notes are too high or too low, feel free to move to another section.

We follow the school term dates so we usually have 11 – 14 sessions per term. Payment is made in advance for the whole term.  The cost works out at £55-£70 per term (the equivalent of just £5 per week). It is not possible to pay for part of a term. New members pay pro rata when they join.

All the songs are taught by ear and through repetition so there is no need to read music. Scores are sometimes distributed for those who find it helpful to have the music. The members’ area of our website contains all the word sheets for the songs, scores and practice tracks for the individual harmony parts so you can practise in your own time if you wish.

The main aim of the choir is to give people a chance to enjoy singing with others and to have some fun. However, we are happy to sing at local community festivals and we sometimes organise our own concerts in aid of local charities.
